Niki Lauda

Niki Lauda

Niki Lauda was an Austrian Formula 1 driver who became world champion in 1975, 1977 and 1984. This was a remarkable achievement because Lauda was severely burned from the wreck of his Ferrari in 1976 in a major accident at the Nürnburgring. Only a few weeks later, the not yet fully recovered Lauda was back in the car.

Even after his accident, Niki Lauda remained fast and a master in setting up his car. On May 20, 2019, Niki died because of complications due to kidney failure.
