Spa 24 Hours 2020

The beautiful circuit of Spa-Francorchamps is located in the Belgian Ardennes. The famous circuit is the annual venue for the Total Spa 24 hours. The circuit is the battlefield of GT cars that are driven to the limit for 24 hours. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, BMW, Nissan, Honda, Lexus, Aston-Martin and Audi compete with drivers from every corner of the globe.

Due to the Corona Pandemic, the race was not held during the summer months but moved to October 24 and 25. This would make it the longest night race in the history of the Spa 24 Hours. It didn't get any less exciting, due to the changing weather conditions and the many Full Course Yellows and Safety Cars it was exciting until the last lap. The # 99 ROWE Motorsport Porsche had gearbox problems in the closing stages. However, the chasing Audi R8 nearly slid off the track on the oil trail that marked the Porsche's route on the final lap. This allowed Nick Tandy to use the final lap to steer the Porsche to the finish line.
